You have a great deal of control over the file/image configuration when exporting from EazyDraw. The ICO format panel is shown, this format is used to generate FAVICON images needed for web sites. You will notice the export is full "professional" grade with support for color tables and color space management as well as background transparency.

Full Color Table Support (a basic requirement for GIF, BMP, ICO, favicon):

Getting GIFF files down to their smallest size requires color table management. Use our Automatic mode, EazyDraw will analyze the image and produce the best possible color table of the size you specify. Or use OS X's system wide color table management (see color palette lower right). The compass icon image in the screen shot was drawn and published with EazyDraw, the export GIFF file, with a 16 entry global color table is only about 3 kBytes.

WebColorPicker:

This example is shown using the WebColorPicker plugin available on all CD versions of EazyDraw . Exact numeric definition of colors is important when exporting bitmap graphics for use on a website. Color tables are provided for the standard CSS colors and other standards required for use on Windows or the Web. CMYK (even CMYKA) colors are supported for professional prepress work flows using EPS.

Better Quality Exports

It is important to have of all relevant parameters, especially when publishing to bitmap file formats. You do not want to save to an intermediate format then process that image with Graphics Converter or another conversion application. This step is not only time consuming by will likely result in less than optimum quality for your published image. EazyDraw provides a great deal of control over number of bits per pixel and color table management so that you can easily publish optimally for use on Windows computers or the World Wide Web.

Vector Exports Too

PDF, EPS and Classic PICT are provided as vector export file formats. EPS is important for electronic pre-press production and scientific publishing. Our PDF format is professional grade PDF, not a bitmap in a PDF wrapper; perfect for publishing news letters or supplying copy for news paper ads or content. Classic PICT is the only vector format accepted as vectors by many older technology applications such as Power Point, Word and Excel or other apps on Windows. Our support of this Legacy format is for users that still must collaborate with the older technology.

Drag and Drop Export

Notice that the file icon shown in the above screen shot indicates the PDF file format, just to the left of the window title. This is your Export Shortcut Icon, you may drag this icon from an EazyDraw title bar and drop it on another OS X application. This will insert a (in this case) PDF graphic in the other application. Control click the icon and you can change the format used for this export short cut. You can see how efficient this could be for your graphic production workflow.
